In Epson 2150 you will get the largest lumens is 2,500. In the Epson, there are two kinds of lumens white lumens and color lumens. Both the lumens amount is equal to 2,500. Superior for the home cinema.
In any condition of light, you will get great picture quality. The ideal size of the screen should be 110 inches from 10 feet. Or you can set the ideal screen size and distance by reading the BenQ manual.
As you can see here I have added the image of BenQ HT2050A projected image. Now doubt Epson 2150 has the brighter image. But there is a good thing about the BenQ HT2050A, we can’t leave.
Like, black level in the image. Assume you are watching the movie and its theme color is black. In this condition, you will get a great black texture on the screen. Its lumens is 2200.
The best screen size is for the BenQ HT2050A is 100 inches from 8 feet away. You can try this or find the best one for you.

Gaming
BenQ HT2050A has better latency than the BenQ HT2050, its previous version. If you are a pro gamer for sue you will want the low as much latency on the BenQ HT2050A.
BenQ has listened to your voice. BenQ HT2050A has less latency than its previous model BenQ HT2050. Its latest model BenQ HT2050A has a latency of 16.7 MS.
Which is way less than its previous model BenQ HT2050A. You can easily connect your gaming console with the projector. Its connectivity option is so flexible.

Here is what I have an opinion about the Epson 2150 latency rate. It could be the reason because of the 3LCD projection technology.
Because it can take time to process the light. To extract RGB from the white light then, then process those light.
And in the term of gaming, BenQ HT2150A is the winner.
If you have a PS4 you may interest in how you can connect your PS4 to the projector. If yes you can check my well define article on PS4 to the projector.
Lens Shift
Both projectors have a vertical lens shift option. Epson has Vertical +15% and BenQ has +10%. But I would like to add also keystone correction in this section. Because both purposes are to set the screen angle and size.
In both projectors, you will get the keystone correction. Vertically and Horizontally, you can adjust these settings by your remote.
No matter what is your room size, you are going to set up the projector. You can easily adjust both projectors in any screen size and angle. Both projectors can hang on the ceiling.

Epson 2150 have two light source mode Normal/ECO. Epson has less picture mode variety than BenQ. And they are Dynamic, Cinema, Natural & Bright.
Suggestion related to lamp life:
I know both the projector has good lumens number. But that doesn’t mean you will use the projector at its peak lumens. It can be heavy for your projector light source.
So always use the projector, in its medium optimize the setting for good image quality and long projector life.
Example: For the Epson 2150 picture mode is Neutral.
Here winner is BenQ HT2050A. Because BenQ has more modes than Epson.

Full Review of BenQ HT2050A vs Epson 2150.
BenQ HT2050A
There is tons of home theater projector out there. But in the budget range, BenQ HT2050 was the leader. And the BenQ HT2050A is the upgraded version of BenQ HT2050.
BenQ kept a similar design as the BenQ HT2050 and other amazing features as it is. And upgrade some specifications for a better experience.
In the box, you will get the user manual, power cord, backlit mode which cool, and the projector. In the side part of the projector, you will get the projector stand. And at the front of the projector, you will also get the front stand. For the up head position of the projector.
At the top of your projector. You will find the lens shift, horizontal keystone slider, zoom and focus slider, and dial.
As well at the top lots of buttons are available. And they are Menu, Source, Back, Power, Ok, Four directions navigational button to control projector without the remote.
Let’s talk about some upgraded specifications. In the BenQ HT2050A, you get the horizontal keystone correction. And one more upgraded specification is less latency rate.
Which is 16.67 MS half of BenQ HT2050. It’s a good thing for the hardcore gamer.
This projector can project 100 inches from 8 feet away. BenQ claims it’s a short-throw projector, not completely. But it has a short throw distance in this price range of the projector.
Image and brightness are good in their price range. Even in ambient light, it’s the image quality is good, if light directly not fall on the screen.
At this projector, the gaming experience is good, because of less latency. It has lots of pictures and light source mode.
Which helps you to use the projector in optimal condition. So projector can provide you great lifespan.
Epson 2150
Inbox content you will not get anything fancy. There are some necessary things projector, power cord, and remote control with the 2AA batteries.
Let’s take the overview of the projector from the outside. In the front, you will get the lens slider for the projector lens.
And also a fan which cools down the projector. For less noise, you should use the cinematic picture mode.
At the top, you will get the Lens shift, Zoom Slider, Focus Slider, and horizontal keystone slider. To adjust the size and angle of the projector screen. And I always prefer to use these manual rather than automatic adjustments.
And on the upper side of the projector, you will also get the buttons. To control the projector settings like Home, Source, Esc, Menu, Volume up & down, and other navigational buttons.
In the side part of the projector, you will get the Air filter/intake vent. Where dust is collected and you should clean this dust every week. For best Maintenance practice.
I will not go broad in the connectivity section. Because I have talked a lot in the connectivity section of comparison.
But there are some things I would like to bold. It has only one active USB port in which you can plug. Firestick or Roku at once. If you try splitter which has one input USB and two USB ports it’s not going to work.
Because the projector doesn’t have resources to support two USB ports, so don’t try splitter. It’s not going to work.
You can do mirroring with your android phone wirelessly. But if you try to connect your projector and speakers, with Bluetooth they will not work.
You have to use the audio jack to connect to the speakers. It has 10-watt speakers but not impressive.
With this projector, you get a good experience of gaming but not better than the BenQHT2050A. And its image is bright and nice. Ok, that’s it for this projector. If you want yo see its highlighted specification, see the comparison table.
Conclusion
My final statement for the BenQ HT2050A vs Epson 2150.
BenQ HT2050A is the winner. I compare both the projector on the basis people repeated mention. And both projector specifications.
These things let me know BenQ is better than the Epson. What are the benefits of choosing the BenQ HT2050A projector?
